    Red velvet cake

I've made a red velvet cake this morning (blame Netix!!!! ) and I read too late that it made two cakes.

Can I freeze the second cake? It's not iced.

Yep, I made the same cake and froze it a few days before. Took it out and carved it into shape the morning that I needed it and it was fine I have also refrigerated leftover icing too and it was fine (the French cream icing)

Or you could just make a double layered cake and try not to eat it all at once

Lol, thanks FW. Into the freezer then. Far too tempting to sandwich them together

Me? You blame me? That's okay, I probably would have too! lol

It's 'meant' to be a sandwiched cake, but honestly, you can do anything you like with it. How did it turn out? Red and velvety? Mmm, cake... <drool>

PS, its worse with cupcakes, because you think, "oh, I'll just have one more..."
