    Storing peeled/cut potatoes

I was just wondering, if i wanted to prepare potoatoes for dinner, and therefore peel them etc, what is the best way to keep them, so they dont go brown?
I was thinking, in the fridge, covered with cold, salted water.
    Any other/better suggestions?

That's what we use to do, put them in a bowl of water.

That was how my step mum used to stop them from going brown. I don't know how long they take to go brown, but they would certainly last the day if you prepared them in the morning for dinner.

doesn't need to be salted water and you can store them on bench if ya want as long as fully imersed in water

we used to peel 20kg (was a chef) and store in bucket of water in cool room lasted a few days as we would use in that time, so how long exactly not sure

I have one of those tupperware "fridge smart" containers, I cut up my potatoes on sunday (along with all my veges)
