To Stork or not to Stork?

But no my question is serious, do you cook/use mushroom storks or do you break them off and discard them?


only asking cause Dad told me funny story, one of his work mates was asked his wife why she felt the need to get rid of the storks off mushroooms as they are perfectly good to eat and it was a waste of money and went on and on about it. So anyway next time she cooked mushrooms he got served the storks while the rest of the family got the top part. Needless to say he keep quiet after that.

personally i tend to leave a little bit of stalk....

if they are massive stalks i trim them down, i dont like a lot of stalk!

Ahhh I use the whole mushie, I think they look pretty sliced with the stalk under the cup
