You boil them and then you use them to make bubble/pearl tea or deserts. They're kind of gooey and gummy and yummy.

Onyx, I've had some sealed in an airtight container for well over a year and they are fine.

Littlelara, you soak them and boil them with milk, sugar and vanilla and its like a party in your mouth.

If you buy the McKenzie brand, they call it seed tapioca and they have a recipe on the back which is really nice, but if you good tapioca recipes you come up with loads of alternate recipes that are all much of a muchness and the only real difference is if they need to be pre-soaked or just cooked straight away. Pre-soaked doesn't take as long.

Myturn, that just means more for you

I store it in an airtight container just like barley, quinoa, millet, couscous, rice, lentils etc, I'd say it will keep a good 6+ months.

Sago/tapioca lasts a long, long time. It's basically balls of starch.

We do pineapple sago. It was my mil's recipe (mil passed away in 01) and I am the only one that has it so it is a massive treat for my DH.
I have had sago in an open but re-sealed pack for about 6 months that I've used with no issue.
