Well I definitely can't say I am a tea conuisseur (sp???) as I only ever have standard black tea or earl grey and raspberry leaf if I am pg - but your post has me intrigued about tea! Would love to try that white rose...
Has anyone ever had White Rose Tea? OMG Its sooooo good. I went to T2 tonight and they had some on offer, so I tried it and I am in love. I am going to add this to my mothers day listIts so light and fragrant, its immediately become my favourite. The lovely lady even gave me a sample to take home. So when I got home I immediately dusted off my Testubin Iron teapot and followed her instructions for the perfect brew, and I have to say it is perfect.
Since having kids I let my tea obsession fall to the wayside. I moved away from the T2 store I used to frequent, and my tea allowance is now spent on other things like education, nappies and the general upkeep of the two miniature humans that now reside at my abode.
Well now there is a T2 just around the corner and I am one happy girlI am now dreaming of the Tea Cupboard I once had, and how I may just get that abundant supply back.
So besides black tea, or variances of, what teas do you like? Do you have a favourite green (mine is the one with puffed rice can't think of it!) or a favourite white tea? Or maybe even a favourite infused tea such as Chocolate *mmmm*.
And what is your weapon? I have 2 cherished teapots, one is a shanghai clay teapot which is a rarity in itself now as the type of clay used to make the teapot I have is no longer available. And my Tetsubin teapot (the iron teapots you may have seen at Made In Japan and the like). I also use my french press from time to time if I'm making a big batch.
So come now I can't be the only tea lover around here...

I used to be addicted to pearl tea but I don't think that counts.
Do you spice your teas at all?
I love it with a cardomon pod or 2 in it. One of mt freinds likes to chick a bit of cinnomon bark in hers but I prefer the cardomon.
In summer I like to make lemon iced tea.
I love tea, I've got 3 teapots, an oriental style one, a glass one (where the tea leaves go in the middle) and a run-of-the-mill ceramic one.
I regularly go to Eumundi Markets to get my tea from the tea store there. The big fave in our house over winter is the arthritis blend - which helps ease the aches and pains.
I'm actually sitting here sipping a cup of rooibos tea.
OMG, I have to stay away from T2!
I've gone off Rooibos for some reason. You know every year I ask for a teapot for my birthday and I never get one. I shall buy one for myself this year and become an obsessed tea person again....
I am totally obsessed with jasmine tea at the moment. Or jasmine green tea. I have 2-3 cups a day, which is alot for someone who doesn't really ever drink tea. I also had a normal cup today for the first time in I don't even remember! Must be the chilly weather.
So what kind do you love??
Oh, and (if anyone knows!) is jasmine tea actually the jasmine that grows in the garden, or is it a special kind? Mum has jasmine in her garden, just wondering if I could pick some and make fresh tea??
no idea Kell, but you wouldn't belive it I was thinking about doing a very similar "What's your fave tea?" thread this morning....
I'm a twinings girls, but only because nice tea is hard to come by out here...
Darjeeling!!!! to me, it is the champagne of all teas!![]()
Green tea with mint
Cranberry/Raspberry/Strawberry
Nerada Organic Rooibos with Vanilla
or for black...
Twinings English Breakfast. Mmmmm.
I mostly drink Chai and green tea. I love most herbals though.
LOL, Kim, it just tells you how bored I am at the moment. I think of rather mundane things when left to my own devices.....
Snuggly bean, what is rooibos like, I have seen it but haven't been brave enough to try it yet. How do you drink it, just the tea, not with milk or honey or what ever??
Mmmm, chai tea, I haven't had a good chai for aaaagggeeeesss! I might have to indulge![]()
I don't drink tea or coffee... but I adore the smell of Oolong tea.
what's chai like?
Im an Irish Breakfast fan all the way!
I have been known to offer a lecture on tea discrimination when only English Breakfast tea is available at so called "tea houses"
I hate green tea, cant stand the stuff...
I did have a raspberry tea I loved...cant remember what else as in it now, it was a Lipton infusions thinggy....and I LOVE RLT too![]()

I am an irish breakfast tea lover and also traditional afternoon tea... I will drink english breakfast if I *have* to LOL but its definitely NOT my first pick... and yes there IS a difference![]()
LOL, thanks Cailin, it took me a second to figure out what had happened before I read your post...
Kim, chai is kind of spicy and sweet. You have it with milk. It has cardamon, cloves, cinnamon...and other stuff in it. I love it! Very yum, but I don't particularly like the tea bags much, I get mine from Gloria jean's.
cai i absolutley agree that english bfast is not so good!!
