Using wine in cooking?

Might be a silly question but I have just found a recipe for spaghetti bolognaise that sounds yummo (been a bit of lazy jar user until now so thought I would give it a try!). It has 1 cup of wine in it - is it ok to give to DS for dinner? I am just not sure and don't want a drunken toddler rampaging through the house

heheheeeee the alcohol content will evaporate off, leaving just the rich flavour of the wine
