    Work lunches

I'm so sick of sandwiches, and have gone totally off bread since being pg...if I have another vegemite & cheese sandwich...well...the consequences won't be good...
Would love some ideas on what I can take to work for lunch, I take leftovers from dinner the night before if there are any, but often there is nothing left to take! Anything that can be reheated, not too expensive/fiddly/time consuming, or alternative sandwich fillings! I've tried tuna & salad in a wrap but it tends to go a bit soggy and I don't want to have to cart everything to work and make it there...only have to put up with lunches for the next few months...but need something to get me through and stop me buying lunch instead! I rarely do it, but lately I just can't think of anything to take instead of another boring old sandwich...

    Ideas appreciated!

If you really like a filling but it goes soggy take the filling already made up in a container and then put it on the wrap/bread at lunch time.
Have you tried making a large pot of soup and freezing lunch size portions, that way you can vary the taste with different breads.
I'm not much help with lunches as my DH take a bar and fruit for lunch, he hardly eats bread. Some of the things the girls used to take were yoghurt, dry biscuits and a filling, hot cross buns, raisin bread, soup or leftovers with them as they also didn't like sandwiches much.

I make containers of salad for my kids and DH during summer becuase they hate sandwiches too. I make fried rice, spag bog, chow mein etc and put it in containers and freeze for thier lunches in winter. Those little chicken wings are great for lunch as well. I make them up and freeze them in portions as well.

Lasagne is easy to make and freeze.
I also make pesto pasta in the mornings/evenings before work, cook pasta add pesto, olive oil, raw cashews and/or almonds or pinenuts and cheese if you like it.
Nachos is another one I love and you can freeze into portions. Mix together a small tin of kidney beans, a small tin of baked beans, half a jar of Old El Paso nachos mix and a tin of refried beans. Heat and put over corn chips or toasted mountain bread chips and if you have a grill melt cheese over the top, if not just sprinkle it on and add a dollop of sour cream. Yum.
I love wraps and don't find they go to soggy but I don't like fish on premade sandwiches. If I have a salmon roll etc it has to be made fresh. I often make chicken salad wraps and if you have a sandwich press at work you can make toasted wraps too.
Save some vegies from dinner and cook some cous cous. Add some crumbled fetta and a small amount of balsamic vinegar. You can also add salmon or tuna to this.
