    Acid free stickers???

    Hi,

I'm new to scrapbooking!! I got given a scrapbook kit for my birthday a few months ago and now I'm ready to start it! I'm doing a scrapbook up of the first 12mths of my DD's life so at the moment I have 6mths to catch up on to get it up to date!

I found some stickers at the discount store near us and they were only $2 a pack but they don't say "acid free" on the pack.... would they be??? How do you know?

    TIA

Usually if they are they say, so probably not.
You used to be able to get a pen/tester that could tell you if something was acid free, but that's a bit of a diehard tool.
Depends on what you're creating for. Me I do it for the love of the craft. I figure I'll always have digital photos so if I love a particular embellishment/sticker/paint/whatever then I use it!

Thanks Kim... yeah thats a good point... if it ruins the photo I can always print another one... but more work

If i stuck it near the photo but not on it that would be safe wouldnt it??? Is it only damaging when it is ON the actual photo itself? anyone know?
    I am clueless

Hey Ren, sorry, didn't see this until today.
Hope you're still going with it. Technically even if the sticker was on the same page as the photo, it can leak chemicals into the photo therefore ruining it. HOWEVER, this may take many man years. It definitiley won't affect it any time soon.
I have stuff I scrapped nearly 10 years ago and none of my photos have been affected.
