going to attempt a scrapbooking album for DD! i went to SPOTLIGHT today and their albums were awful (no little girl ones really). any other ideas on where to get them from? i am looking at a 20 sheet one if possible (a big one). i got the paper, a pack of 12 sheets (vellum paper). i also got a scrapbooking storage box to put everything else in.
i am new to this, what do i need? i can get little things to stick on etc but does anyone have any brilliant ideas for me? do i use glue or tape?
thanks for your help!!

Go to the newsagent and get yourself a magazine...that'll give you some ideas. Or google scrapbooking and be amazed at some of the site that come up and they'll give you some ideas too.
I use a combination of glue (stick and liquid), double sided tape and sticky tabs. You can use what you want, just make sure it's acid free, so your photos don't get damaged.
Lincraft have some cute little girl albums (well ours does) that are pretty reasonably priced. Otherwise there are plenty of online places that have an amazing array, but are sometimes pretty exxie.
Have you got a local scrapbbok shop that does beginners classes? THey're usually pretty helpful too.
I bought my albums from the US over the net.. brand is CB Gibson. They are great albums. When it comes to an album try and get one that has a material spine. A BIG recommendation. As if they are paper they are likely to tear once they have a fair bit in them. Other places you can get them are ebay/online or even Lincraft are good for scrapbooking materials.
Um re tape or glue.. you can use either. But just make sure you get the special scrapbooking ones that are acid free. I use the tape for sticking large piece of paper or photos. I use the glue for little things.
I found ebay great for bargins with scrapbooking things. If you buy a few things from the same seller you can usually get a good deal. Otherwise ive bought from Lincraft, Spotlight, even Kmart, big w and target can have soem good things.
Last thing i can recommend to do is just google scrapbooking pages and have a look at what other people do. It will give you some good ideas and places where to start.
I also use places like go-lo, Sam's Warehouse, and cheap shops like that to buy papers and stickers etc from. A good friend of mine works for creative memories, so I have a lot of their products tool and album wise. But definitely go double sided tape in a roller form if you can, and also get a glue pen for the fiddly jobs.
There is some good scrapbooking websites where you can get some inspiration from.
Kmart & BigW*sometimes* have albums, as well as a few basic things like stickers/embelishments etc
We have a few local scrapbooking shops, usually you can pick up free pamphlets from Kaiser Craft that have some great ideas in it and the shops usually have alot of displays up that are great for inspiration!
I have also got most of my supplies off ebay, I have a bedroom devoted to it all.
Good Luck with it all!
