What to buy "those" people.... you know the ones.....

who have everything or who buy something if they want it, or if they are teenagers

I have my BIL, my mum and my nieces still to buy for. Yep I know - small list but they are so hard to buy for.

So I am wondering what do you buy people who are tricky and have everything!
I need some ideas peoples!! Hit me with your creative minds, trouble is we don't junk mail either, so I have no inspiration from any of the catalogues! Arghh!

I just bought my parents tickets to Gold Class cinema session and some candy bar vouchers. They love going to the movies but my dad is such a tight wad that he would never fork out that much for one session. I know they will love it though and see it as an experience rather than just a movie session

I should just accept that the teenagers in particular like gift cards shouldn't I? I just feel like not much thought goes in and I could get something a bit more meaningful and useful for them. In reality Im sure they would much rather march into Donny on Boxing Day and spend up big with their cards.

Check out Lasoo online for catalogues.
In terms of ideas, I've started buying experiences for my Sister's family. Last year was Luna Park for one family and Jamberoo for another.
I've also seen gift cards at Woolies for movies etc... and they are also sold at the Post Office.
Red Balloon Day experiences at Myer. It's a book filled of adventures and the person can choose what they would like.
How about a course at a Community College?
A make up course for a teenager?

I second the movie voucher idea - everyone loves to go to the movies. If you want to pretty it up a bit, you know those plastic popcorn cups they sell in Woolies (hanging down the aisles) you can fill them with sweets and pop the tickets sticking out the top. Makes a nice gift.

For my mum, I usually make a photobook or calendar of my kids. This year I made her a Grandma's Brag Book filled with our best photos from 2010. She loves photos but never gets around to taking any herself and even if she does, she has the best of intentions to turn them into an album but never does.

Teenage girls - I agree with the gift card idea otherwise something from Diva or The Body Shop if you want to give an actual gift.

No idea about BIL ... guess it depends what he is into. My brothers are all into camping, fishing, outdoor stuff so Anaconda usually has some great catalogue specials around this time of year. My best friend's DH is really into office humour so I buy him a Dilbert desk top calendar every year - if your BIL has a desk at work he might appreciate something like that.
