    Christmas Cooking

Ok, so I'm a late starter but I'm hoping to do some Christmas cooking tomorrow. What are your favourite things to cook and even recipes.

    Hi Ellee,

Not sure whether you want mains, desserts, snacks or anything, but here are the first things that come to my mind!

Mmm, trifle. My mother-in-law makes it her mission to get everyone drunk on it! Might not be indulging this year. So easy to make; a jam roll from the supermarket, a couple of packets of jelly (green and red of course), and custard! And if you're going for the MIL special, soak the jam roll slices in a cup or so of port or sherry first.

In primary school one year (so many years ago now...) we made white christmas. I haven't made it since, but it was delicious. The idea was to give it to someone as a present but I have no self control. I don't have a recipe but I'm sure any of the ones you find online will work.

Geez, it's really hard to think of savoury things for xmas! I just went and quizzed DH on what food he associates with xmas and he said "rum balls, trifle, fruit cake". No help there!

I made gingerbread with my class and also some apricot balls. Let me know if you want the recipe.
