    What sauce with Christmas Lunch?

OK, leaving it a bit late to decide, I know... DP and I are having a quiet, quick lunch tomorrow, I've got some prawns and some eye fillet steak to throw on the BBQ, we'll have them with baked potatoes and steamed asparagus.

Normally I would do Bearnaise sauce with steak/prawns, but I can't find any tarragon, and really can't be bothered with making it anyway.

So I need a sauce that will go with both steak and prawns. Something light, tangy but decadent too.

I'm thinking possibly white wine, cream and mushroom, or whipping up a homemade mayo. Flavoured with... what? Lime, mango & coriander? Mustard? Aioli? Basil? Any suggestions?

Help me out here peoples - what quick and easy but totally special sauce would you make to go with steak and prawns?

If your keeping it light and quick, how about a tomato based salsa?

A lime and mango dressing would be spesh too!!

Thanks lovelies! I've taken both your advice

I couldn't decide, so I got the ingredients to do either a mushroom, cream, white wine and garlic sauce, or a lime and coriander mayonnaise (yet to be decided whether to put mango in it or not).
