Part time single parenting

Are there any other part time single parents here? My DH is away about 60% of the year for work. Mostly just for a week at a time (home for weekends) but 3 times a year he goes to S America for up to a month as well as bits of other international travel.

I really find it so hard when he's away, especially over weekends when everyone else has their families together and there are no playgroups, etc. The worst is trying to do a 6 month old and a 2 year old's bedtime routines (baths - eek!) together.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Not me but my SIL is in the same boat only my niece and nephew are 5 and 6. I know at times it drives her nuts but my parents and her sister help her out a bit.
