    My cat has poo problems

It doesn't quite come out. She bolts out of her little box with some still hanging out and she wiped her bum on the floor . Thank God it's tiles so I can disinfect it easily.
Is she constipated? We changed food last week. She was on a mix of the big sized stuff for teeth and smaller stuff and now it's just the small stuff.
should I put her back on the big stuff as well?
She gets lots of grass and water.

Calliope gets constipated every now and then.

If she is still backed up you will feel that her belly is a bit hard and her poo will look very dry.

There is a cat laxative in a green tube available from vets and good pet stores. If you spread it on her paws, she'll have no choice but to lick it off. Calliope has never had a problem with the taste and it works rather well.

If your fur baby is walking a bit stiff or looks uncomfortable I would honestly suggest popping to the vet and getting them to put in a suppository. They might also do a gentle enema.

We had to get both done for Calliope once because she was so backed up, poor thing, and once they had both worked, it was like she was a brand new cat!

I would suggest the diet change affected her a tad, yes. It's not uncommon.

A suppository for cats? Wow I've never seen it happen before.... there is a microlax enema which you put up that end and helps clear them out.

Chloe does she have long hair? Fur balls at all? If this is a sudden occurence with her poo issues, than generally there is a reason for it. Litter change, diet etc etc etc...

I would suggest giving her a bit of paraffin oil or switching the diet back to what it was. Sounds like she might need it. There is Cat-Lax which is in the green box which is a herbal laxative which breaks down fur etc which can clog them up. Often the hair gets stuck in the bum.... so the cat lax helps furballs and constipation.

Ah Cat-Lax in the green package...thats what we use.I couldnt remember the name.

For my long haired cat we used either vaseline...which most cats will lick off your finger, or cod liver oil but he really didnt like that.

Vasline is a petroleum product. Not for internal use. Go with the cat lax
