    TMI warning - sex question

    Hi girls,
Of late, following DTD or any form of activity/friction involving my nether-regions, I have been incredibly irritated, itchy and sore...
The same thing happens whether we do or don't use condoms, whether there is any bodily fluid exchanged (both saliva and semen) and it also seems to happen if there is just hand or mouth activity if you know what I mean...
Our GP has ruled out thrush, infection and just about everything else...
Has anyone else experienced the same thing? And what has worked to relieve the pain? (I find occasional paracetemol and a cold washer helps... but the irritation can last days - and just when it feels like it's better we have sex again and we're back to square one!!!)
    Thanks,
    Lily

I had a very simular problem earlier on in my pregnancy - well almost exactly what your describing to be honest - right down to the cold facewasher between the legs!

Mine turned out to be vaginitis, but even after the infection cleared up i had the same thing still happeneing. Even though the dr ruled out thrush i continued to treat it as if it was thrush coz it felt the same. I eventually changed thrush treatments - from canesten to something in a pink tube (cant rememebr the name) and whatever it was went away. We also treated DF for thrush as well thinking that maybe he had it and it was irritating mine? I also went onto daily doses of probiotics, and we now use lube, and my who ha has never been better!

Maybe give some of that a go - does sound really simular. HTH!

good luck hun - i know how uncomfy it is!

Thanks so much girls - will try lube - and funny enough that I've only just come from the chemist to get a new thrush cream (even though it's not thrush our GP said it could be very soothing and might be worth a shot)... Canesten did nothing so have moved on to the one in the pink tube that you mentioned Elyse - if it's the same one it's called Nilstat!
    Will keep you posted!
    Thanks again!

sounds like thrush but as you mentioned, the doctor has ruled it out. did he/she actually take a swab sample?

when i had thrush it was almost the exact same as you have described, i also had clamydia when i was 19, and it was terrible, had very similar symptoms, and everytime i would ignore it, it would go away for a few days, then flare up again when i had intercourse...

however back then i was pretty juvenile, and was with a bloke who said he 'loved me', but he was sleeping with another 2 girls, which is how i ended up with clamydia.
Dont worry, i left him within a day of finding out he was seeing other women......still makes me furious.
But im 100% sure you wouldnt have that, as you have a mr right
Ive found my mr right, and he is perfect, unlike that skeeze who gave me an sti

Do you have any discharge with this burning and itching?

ive had this and it wasnt thrush it basically was from to much activity and to long activity and i think i should have used lube as it was a burning sensation.
