    IS my baby seeing someone?

Not sure, but it seems to me DS (5 mths ) may be seeing more than just me around the house sometimes? I did not notice it with my older DS when he was a baby, but with this one he is so aware and looks around at things that when I look to see what he is looking at there is nothing there (that I can see anyway). For example last night I was changing his nappy and he looked over my shoulder mostly and was smiling and looked at me a few times but mostly over my right shoulder. It seemed he has the look on his face the same as when he is looking at faces. And when he looked at me his expression didnt change like it would if he had been staring off at a light bulb or toy iykwim.

If he is seeing someone, then who? We have recently moved from o/s and are in an old house. I dont know if its someone from our family or what? Can spirits go between countries? That might sound like a silly question but usually you only hear of a spirit in the same area as where they lived or died.

I cannot think of anyone in our family who it could be anyway ? Maybe he isnt seeing anyone Anyone else have similar experience?

We swear our kids can sense the spirits in our house - why not - I can sense them. Aricyn talks to the ceiling all the time - like he's having a normal conversation with someone - its pretty freaky when you are sitting beside him lying in bed and he's doing it!!

Miss M always looks over my shoulder and smiles at - seemingly - nothing.

But I bet there is something there..

Hun i think it's highly possible. I know my DS sees my Uncle (who passed away unexpectedly when my DS was 2 months old) all the time. He used to do exactly the same thing. Now that he is older, he'll look straight over my shoulder at something (or someone) behind me and smile at them. And now i just say, "Is Uncle **** here Toby?" and he looks back at me and smiles! I have him on video doing it when he was 4 months old.

Another thing, at my Uncle's memorial, Toby was 15 months old. He walked over to my Uncle's rock and sat down on the bark next to it. He put his hands on his lap, palms up and hung his head. Everyone (there was about 25-30 people there) saw him do it. We all started looking at each other and calling out to him but he wouldn't look up. It was as though he'd gone into a trance or something. When he finally did look up, he didn't even look like Toby. I ran over and picked him up and gave him the biggest cuddle because it was giving me goosebumps! I know it sounds weird, but he looked really different. I have photos of the exact moment he looked up and his eyes just look so different. When i show people who weren't there at the time, the look in his eyes really spins them out. He looks about 40 years older.

Oh i know what you mean, my ds used to do the same thing!! everytime i put him into his cot when he was little he would look over my shoulder and smile!. I have to say he is 4 now and things are havent stopped either. to many things to go into detail about. My mum also went to have a reading done and they picked up on my ds.
I used to think when he was doing this that maybe it was someone in my family that had passed.

My DS2 has been the one to do this, the other two never did. My Aunty used to laugh at the 'faeries' he was talking to/seeing but I always thought it was a member of my family, mostly DS' great grandparents.

At first it freaked me in the middle of the night but then I just started thinking of it as comforting, like I had someone else there awake in the wee hours with me

I would say so Salsa, maybe a deceased relative who is constantly with you or perhaps someone attached to the house you are now living in. I think that is a beautiful thing and you should feel reassured by it, could be a guardian angel.

Spirits can be attached to anything and (I believe) some come and go depending on the energy we produce and the situations in our lives. For example, we have a female family member who made herself very know throughout my pregnancy with Nikita and since her passing, our home feels very calm and at peace.

I swear Jazz saw my granddad, I always seemed to "feel" something, and that was also the time Jazz would stare at this one place in the room and look, sometimes smile, but she'd just STARE, and there was nothing there, it was blank wall, no shadows or lights or anything... it kind of freaked me out, but at the same time it was realy comforting (my granddad passed right before Jazz was born, and I've always thought he'd just 'stuck around' for a while when I needed him. It would be odd, Jazz would be whingey and crying, and I'd be in tears (baby blues lol) then it was weird she'd stop and look at this one area, I could just see in my mind my granddad would be trying to soothe her if he was here, so I have always thought he was there when I needed him, since grieving plus no sleep and baby blues is no fun at all!

So I would say yeah, probably. If you think so, I would go with that. They say babies see more than anyone, can't remember why but yeah thats what they say.

I'd say yeah, he is probably being entertained by someone for sure. My DD was the same, for quite a few years too. She would tell us about the man in the corner of her room, then one day at my parents she saw a pic of my mums dad who passed away when my mum was a teenager. We had never pointed out who he was, until this particular day when mum showed her the photo and she said she knew who it was, it was her poppy! My mum just about fainted lol.

I get that feeling with DS too, that someone is standing off to the side of me talking to him, and especially when I am putting him down for the night, I get the feeling that someone is standing nearby...

He was just doing it again when I was putting him to bed...

NAE NAE, we have had a tough time with DS. Perhaps this man is helping us with settling the baby?? He must be very kind hearted or are spirits deaf? Cause DS has some mighty shreaky lungs on him

MAZ, thanks but I have no idea who that is. Does not fit discription of anyone on either side of our families that I know of. Was he fair or dark? Will he show you anything else (a clue! a clue! ) ? Perhaps it is someone attatched to this house? I did think when we moved here that I could hear foot steps up the hall way and DS 6yr has said he heard walking up the hall middle of one night...

It feels a bit spooky but I take what others have said as my own thoughts and feeling about it, which is that I should feel comforted by it/them. If the baby is ok, and nothing sinister is going on then I guess its a positive thing.

they do say that babies can see souls arounds them. they lose their ability once they become more worldly.
a few days before my brother was born, my grandfather's best friend came in my mother's dream and said he's coming to stay in her house and if it's ok. we believe his soul reincarnated into my brother..

Salsa, both my little ones did/do this. I would always ask them who they were looking at/talking to, but I could never tell. I like to think they are guardian angels, as I can't think of anyone else it may be.

Madissun, that gave me goosebumps and tears in my eyes!
