    Smelly towels

Ok so i am a bit embarrassed to ask BUT it has to be done.

Well i wash our Bath Towels very regularly BUT

After using them they STINK after like two days of using them, when i wash them i hang them in the sun to dry and they are bought in that day, so its not like they are out there for days, they never seem to smell nice.
I also think that DH uses my towel sometimes too grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Not too sure if i could wash them in something to make them smell nice or to take away that horid smell!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope someone can help me otherwise i might go and buy some new ones LOL

Try doing a hot wash with a tiny drop of dishwashing detergent instead of washing powder/liquid to strip any residues off them, and dont use fabric softener when you wash them. Vinegar is better to use instead of fabric softener in future. This destink's nappies and seeing as towels are absorbent it might work well for them too.

lol Ali - I was thinking Strip Wash too!

Try and hang them inthe sun to dry too after you use them every day rather than in the bathroom
Washing in Bi-Carb only may help too.

Agree with all the suggestions, I also keep a clothes horse set up in front of the heater at night and dry the towels off after everyone's had their bath of an evening. It's when they stay dampish that the funky smell grows.
