I have not done that... But I do make jelly with half water and half juice and that is good.

We do a mix of gelatine, pureed fruit & juice. Very yummy even for big people

i wanted to avoid fruit juice - i figured the pureed fruit has enough sugar in it let alone juice as well...
would it work do you think...
how long does it take to set?

This is the one I use, but I'd just modify it to use water instead of juice if you wanted. I'm pretty sure it took about 2 hours to set in little containers.

    1 1/2 tablespoons gelatin
2 3/4 cups of unsweetened juice
    1/2 cup of pureed fruit

Place the apple juice and pear juice into a microwave safe container, and heat for around 4 minutes (until quite hot). Alternatively, heat on the stove top. Add gelatin, and stir until completely dissolved. Add pureed fruit and stir well. Pour into suitable containers and refridgerate until set.
