Polyp on cervix anyone know about these??

I felt a lump inside so went to a doc (Not my normal GP)and was told I have a polyp on my cervix.. Doc said it was nothing to worry about but after sex I bled.. Should I get a second opinion?? I googled it but you always get worst case scenarios so was wondering if anyone else has had it and if it needs to be removed.. Sex did hurt but I think it was due to dryness as I have just come off the pill, but maybe it was due to that??

I had a polyp on my cervix years ago. I had a biopsy done on it by colposcopy and it came back fine. It was apparently small and nothing to worry about. It has never bothered me and I didn't know I had it until I had a pap smear done.

Maybe get a 2nd opinion as my Dr thought it important enough to warrant a colposcopy (which is a camera thing which looks at your cervix and everything... an acid is used to show up different areas... the acid doesn't hurt) and a biopsy.
I'm sure everything will turn out fine and you've nothing to worry about... better to be safe than sorry though

I guess the only reason I am concerned is because I read it could interfere with getting pregnant and because I bled after sex.. And 3 days later I am still bleeding but only very lightly.. Problem is as I have just come off the pill so I don't know if sex just brought my period back (Although I finished a 2 and a half week period 3 days before ) or if it could be from the polyp.. I am just so frustrated, bleeding is interfering with my sex life! And I want to TTC.. FRUSTRATED!!
