A bit gross to talk about but....

    Hi

I find that when I use tampons it almost feels as though it's going to "fall out" - like it's causing pressure on my vaginal muscles and is going to come out. I'm wondering if my pelvic floor is still weak or if it's something I should get checked out. I thought "down there" would've fully recovered by now.

i have very week pelvic floor mussels too. I did for some time see a physio therapist and that helped. But now i just try to do more excersizes like lift gently and slowly and hold for 10 seconds then slowly release.

Sometimes after childbirth and pregnancy your cervix will move or change position.
My girlfriend can no longer use tampons at all for this reason.

Make sure you are putting it in far enough to begin with.
What youa re describing is the feeling of it not being in far enough, but if i is, then your cervix may have tilted or moved. It may never go back to how it was before.

Also try getting some mini and some slim tampons and see if either of those work for you - it may just be a case of using different size tampons now. (Steer clear of tampax lol)

Thanks gals. I hadn't really thought about how my changed cervix might affect things. I'll try the smaller size and see how I go. It's definitely in far enough but the feeling is that it isn't.

Also I think I might visit the physio about the pelvic floor. I do think it's weaker than before so it's probably worth a look.

    Thanks everyone

I couldn't use tampons for about 15 weeks after giving birth to DD. I basically waited until DH said that things felt tight when we DTD.
