I have just done psych11 and psych12 through open universities australia (so first year of psychology completed) and I will be enrolling in the grad dip in psych at Monash uni (off-capmus) for 2nd year 2010......I'm assuming you are/have started midyear???? Who are you doing it through and where will you be at start of 2010?
I'm almost at the end of my 1st subject now, and have one other to go to complete 1st year. Still waiting for confirmation on whether the uni is offering the other 1st year subject I have to do over Term 3. Yes, I did start mid-year, hopefully will be able to start 2nd year at the start of 2010 though I'm studying through CQUni and really enjoying it at the moment, it's a really interesting course.
What subjects are you looking at doing next year? I'm trying to decide at the moment, there's probably 5 or 6 that I'd like to do, but am only supposed to do 4 (2 of which are compulsory - the stats ones).
The subjects offered in 2010 are Abnormal psych, cognitive and social psychology, research design and analysis and I think organisational psych. The first 3 are compulsory I think, and we covered these briefly in psych12 for first year.
I'm just getting my application together now and will apply after bubs is born. I'm still not sure whether I"m going to be able to handle study and a baby, but I've got a few months to see how I cope with the baby first.
2nd year we get Research Methods A & B (which are the compulsory subjects), and then Term 1 I get a choice of Introduction to Human Development or Personality (leaning towards personality but not sure just yet). Term 2 we choose from Physiological Psych or Social Psych.
Abnormal and Cognitive come in 3rd year for us.
Back to study now, exam coming up in a couple of weeks then a 5 month break!
