    Karen just posted this in the march belly buddies thread

    Khye Patrick was born on Saturday 25th Feb @ 9.49am. Emergency ceasar. 2630grams 46cm hc 33.5.

    Was due to be induced due to preeclampsia but Khye's HR wasn't fluctuating enough and had dipped to 80bpm at different stages that was without contractions so I was wisked off to theatre and my little man was born. The cord had a true knot in it and was wrapped around his leg twice. So basically the knot happened around 35 weeks and he wasn't getting nourishment from then. About the same time preeclampsia symptoms started. Dr said if I had of gone into labour it would have been disastorous (sp) and Khye would not be here. So I have alot of thanks and praise for the Dr's and midwives at our Hospital.
    Congratulations Karen and family and a big welcome to Khye Patrick.
    I'm so glad that the hospital staff were on top of things and your beautiful baby is safe.

    Hi everyone,
    Thank you all for your congratulations. I made a boo boo and Khye was actually 2360 grams, but not that that matters much. I'm also glad that you like his name, afew people have said to me "oh thats a nice name" but you can see in their face that they don't like it. I was getting a bit worried i'd named him the wrong thing. But thanks to you girls I am reassured again. Thank you. I will write a birth story when I get myself organised a bit more.
