hey Cherished- Low progesterone on a bt may indicate that a m/c is imminent but yes having low progesterone can also cause a m/c as it is needed to support a pregnancy. The follicle where the egg comes from is supposed to produce enough progesterone to support the pg until the placenta takes over. I had low progesterone readings on my bt and my FS has given me progesterone pesseries to keep in my fridge and start using as soon as I find out I'm pg. It won't stop you m/c if there is something wrong with the baby but will support the pg if you aren't making enough progesterone yourself. Hope that helps.
Have a good day

I am still unsure if I have a problem with that though because I think that I would have miscarried the 1st one naturally if I had low progesterone iykwim.... hmmmm I don't know, I really don't want to go back to the doctor as he doesn't know anything anyway and he is a million years old! I know I could go somewhere else but I hate paying to go to the doctor and there is only one bulk billing one nearby. Maybe I will go to one about 40 mins away and ask them. Thanks again xoxo
