I know when I buy online and use paypal it's within 24hrs, you should get a receipt emailed to you with a payment date on it, but I don't know if that has been automatically generated by Paypal or if the seller does that?

If you mean their PayPal account, it should be instant. I have never had a delay in payment from a customer through PayPal.

ETA: Trill, the recipts are automated from PayPal.

Paypal send the automatically generated emails

I get PayPal payments all the time from sales from my website and the payment is always instant. I always try and post the item on the same day.

I hate that they charge so many fees. A fee for the money going in and taking it out.

Nope, if you have confirmation from PayPal that you have sent payment it is not a payment problem. Definitely contact the seller, 2 weeks is a bit much!
