DD has, just for the last couple of nights, started to wet through her Huggies nappies, and it's waking her up nice and early because of it. I can see what the problem is, she sleeps consistantly on her tummy so when I change her nappy of a morning, the whole front part is soaked, buldging and crystalised, and the back (and more absorbant part of the nappy), is bone dry .
I'm going to try the new Sorbalene nappies (with the nighttime ones) just to see how they go, but does anyone have any great advise, suggestions, anything, to help with this? Are cloth nappies more absorbant (I'm willing to try them for overnight to help her sleep better)?
Cloth nappies are MUCH more absorbant if you get a dedicated "night nappy"
You could however try getting a pair of loniges (knitted woolen pants) to wear over her sposies - this is stop the leaking and also absorb the excess too. Wool breathes well, cos it is natural, so is healthy for long stints over night.
I would try putting the night time sposie on BACKWARDS if it is more absorbent at the back and getting a pair of longies.
Let us know if this doesnt work - the clothie girls have some ace night nappies you could try!
I recently had this with DS tried the larger size, and it seems to be working well. So DS is 10kgs, and he wears toddler size during the day, and I now use walkers at night.
But I have always gone bigger with sizing, as I find them more suitable to my big peeing boy...
I also cover with a fleece mcn cover and that helps a bit too.
I'm doing the same as Rufalina, larger size at night. its working quite well at the moment... Ds is also a tummy sleeper and he would wake in the early hours of the morning soaked right up to his neck!!
i did try the sorbies with the night time nappies, but i found that i ran out of them before id used all the daytime ones, iykwim?
