    Where is my daughter??

DD went to a friends house for a play today. I dropped her off at 10am and the girls mum said she would drop her off at around 2.30 because they are going out. Well, its nearly 5.20 and I havnt heard from them. I have misplaced their phone number and dont want to leave to go to their place incase they come here in the mean time.

Hmmmmm, starting to get a little bit anxious.....

Do they have a private number? Any chance of finding their number in the phone book?

Do they live far away, maybe if you go to their place just leave a note on your door telling them you'll be back in a minute.

eeek, I'd be getting pretty anxious by now.
Can you send your DH round to see if she's there? Can you look her up in the white pages and give her a call?

I hope she turned up safe and sound for you that is a bit rude of the mother to be so late after she set a time for drop off!

Thanks girls, I found them in the white pages. I think there was a misunderstanding - I thought she said she would drop her off, she doesnt seem to think so. She also said she tried calling me but I havnt had any missed calls. They are dropping her off in a few minutes though. Owell, I can breathe easy now.....

Eek. I'd either try looking up the number, ring around other people for the number, or ask a neighbour to keep an eye out for anyone arriving/dropping off your dd while you go over there.

    Hope everything is ok!

ETA: oh.. good stuff. Your heart can return to beating normally again now!

I had this happen with me once. I rang and said are you bringing my son home anytime soon and she said "yep I am on my way" 30 mins later I am still waiting and they only lived 10 mins away by car if that. I rang back again and she said "oh we've been delayed" so I said "look I will come and get him" and she was 'nah it's fine i'll bring him home". He did eventually turn up 1.5hrs after the initial drop of time. So can definitely relate to you being anxious.
