    Where does bubs waste go?

    okay, weird question.
But DP asked me this afternoon where the babys waste goes when it is inside of me?

I honestly thought about it for a little while, and realised i didnt really have an answer lol

I wanted to sound smart, so i made up an answer on the spot, and said the baby doesnt have any faeces or urine as it gets concentrate nutrients from me, and thus has no bodily wastes, as it pretty much gets 100% goodness

Was my guess okay? lol. Where DOES the babys waste go inside?

The baby doesnt poo yet but excretes urine that is passed back into the amniotic fluid then filtered out by the placenta into your blood suply then out through your kidneys. Pretty cool actually. Dont be too grossed out though, the baby is only 'weeing' amniotic fluid.

It ends up in the amniotic fluid. Cos bubs doesn't eat solids, there is no faeces as such just urine.

I just gets re-absorbed When I had an ultrasound with DS they were concerned about the size of his bladder, so I had to go away for a bit then come back. When they looked again it was smaller, so the conclusion was that he just had to do a wee!! Of course I had to ask about it & the sonographer just said that their wee is essential any amniotic fluid they have swallowed & it just stays in the waters. You were right in one aspect, they don't poo until they are born

Yep, what ubba said. Bubba pees into you and saves its first poo until after it is born (and what a poo that is )

Other waste such as carbon dioxide and some chemicals that float around in your baby’s blood are passed into your blood by the placenta. Your body then removes this waist from your blood via the kidneys, liver and lungs.
