Question about chemical pregnancy and question about implantation bleeding.

Hi Ladies,
I have a question about implantation bleeding and also about chemical pregnancy.

Quick (or not so quick) background:

both my pg I experienced implantation bleeding (like yucky CM, with a bit of very light spotting) about a week before AF was due.

My last pg (and I cant quite remember what else I experienced in regards to the first one - was back in 2005, and we stopped TTC, so I have sort of "blocked it out" a bit, so I will just concentrate on recent pg/mc) I also experienced a blocked milk duct which was even before implantation bleeding, and at around the 4 week mark (when AF would have been due) got the huge boobs then. I experienced nause from pretty much around implantation.

My cycle just gone was much shorter than usual.
I experienced what I thought was implantation bleeding, also got a blocked milkduct again, but thought it was perhaps just "left over" from last time, so sort of discounted it, but then I got one on the other nipple, so a new one, so was quietly hopeful. I was also quite nauseous. But I didn't test, because I thought I would at least wait unitl AF was due.

But then the implantation bleeding became spotting, which became light bleeding, which then became AF. And my usual cycle is that I would not normally spot before hand. My temps had gone way up on the "implantation" days, but then dropped on the spotting days & AF. And its a super painful period too.

If it were a chemical pg, would it have ended my cycle earlier or would that normally happen at the normal AF time?

I have not had confirmed chemical pg before, though since more recently TTC I have had two "unusual" cycles:
- AF was late (tested BFN) and then bled so heavily I had to change the bed sheets threee nights in a row
- AF was late (tested BFN) light-moderate bleeding for a day, then nothing for another day and a half, and then very heavy and painful bleeding.

Sorry for the lenghty post and rambling....
Any thoughts appreciated.

Hi Milly,

I had a chemical pregnancy (i hate that term! doesn't make it sound like a 'real' pregnancy....anyways...) last month. I had spotting from about 6 days before AF, which my ob thought could be implantation. unfortunately i was in hopsital at the time for something else and so wasn't able to check what my temp was doing. AF came bang on 14 days after O and was quite heavy - but I had only finished bleeding from a m/c a little over two weeks before that so it may have been unusually heavy because of that.
sorry it's probably not much help to you, but that was my experience. Oh, I did get a BFP two days before AF came and had two hcg blood tests to confirm that hcg was rising and wasn't left over from the m/c, so as much as i don't like to think of it this way, i guess i had two m/c in the space of a month - that was pretty crappy.

I wouldn't worry yourself too much about chem pregnancy unless you specifically knew you were pregnant. maybe it's just your hormones settling down after the m/c. Have you looked into Vitex to balance hormones? ( I think i already mentioned the B6 didn't I?!)

hope someone else has more definite answers for you.
