Calico WDYT?

I'm watching the auditions of So You Think You Can Dance (I know.... but I'm too lazy to lean forward, pick up the remote and change channel lol) and a woman called Calico just auditioned.
I know it is the name of a fabric but I have to admit I kind of like it and Cali would be an awesome nickname.

My first thought was...great name for a cat!

The nickname "Cali/Callie" is nice...but Calico, for a person's name...nup not for me!

Calico is a term for cats, think it might be the American term for what we call Tortoiseshell.

Would be interesting on a person, but not my style.

Lol, yes the first thing I though of was a calico cat, which like Astrid said, is indeed another name for a tortoisehell. And if you've ever had one, you'd know that those torti's are pretty crazy kitties
