Just CBD area? or Outer subs too?
PS your son is beautiful!!
We are currently on the waiting list at a few places for childcare in Brisbane City, to start in late September. The childcare place we really wanted to get into (for convenience purposes) has just recently be told that they are being closed down for few years due to construction near the centre.
Has anyone had any experience with any of the child care centres in Brisbane City? Any recommendations or places to avoid?

Just the CBD area. Probably the area bounded by All Hallows, Leichardt St and the Brisbane River.
Ahh ok Im on the southside and only know a few on this side. Sorry, best of luck I hope you find one to suite you guys..
Thanks anyway!![]()
Oh crud, is it the childcare place I am thinking of that is being shut down?
Yep - there is a petition at the coffee shop to stop it being closed. The powers that be have told the centre about the closure. I thought it was initially just a rumour, but I wrote to them and got told that they have to close down due to the construction of the new precinct. Apparently people on the waiting list got sent a letter about it - I never received one!
There are two places, I wonder if it is too late to put your name down at the other place (or are they both closing?). I have my name down at the place closest to the coffee shop...
oh in Spring Hill there's a great place but I can't put my finger on the name... Lady..... oh what is it?
The other place closer to our office doesn't have facilities for bubs our age (they start at 15 months). Poo Poo Poo. I don't know if that one is closing either, but it might be.
Lady Gowrie.... thats it!
Hi girls,
I used to work at Lady Gowrie and they are lovely. Their waiting list is long, but it does move quite fast, unlike where I work now, where we have a 10 year waiting listTotally worth putting your name down, especially with the flow of children out of the Centres that have been shutting down.
Good luck!
