    Question Vitex Causing Charting Problems

    Hi there,

I've been seeing a naturopath to help correct a short luteal phase (9 days), and since on Vitex (chasteberry, AKA agnus castus) I've been having atypical charts.

Has anyone else experienced an annovulatory cycle while the body is becoming accustomed to chasteberry? My charts are usually 'tidy', so this is out of the blue for me...

(My latest chart is here for reference)

    Hi Aurian,
Myself and another lady in the TTC 1-6 Months July 2009 thread have been thinking the same about Vitex.
I'm not 100% sure if Vitex is affecting my chart as this is the first time I've mapped my temps.

FF is sending me insane, I keep changing the settings to hopefully get a true reflection of when I actually O'd.

All the best in the TTC journey....

I just hope vitex works for us all...

When I was on vitex I noticed that the first half of my cycle had elevated temps... then the temp would drop down to 'usual' level say 4 days before ovulation. It definitely made my chart look different.

Actually, funangel23 your chart doesn't look dissimilar to what mine were doing.

I found vitex to be a very powerful substance - I noticed an immediate difference, and the first month I took it I was extremely dark/depressed for the first 4or5 days (which I wholly attribute to the vitex.) I got my bfp the second month I was on vitex (and the first of taking vitex + epo!). So - goodluck!!

(I am now ttc again, and have gone back onto the epo this month (no vitex), so shall see!!)

One can only hope! But I had a drop in temp this morning so Im guessing af is on her way. I overlayed both last month and this month and it looks all to similiar..
