I am newly separated with a toddler and I desperately want to start a business that I can fit around my daughters routine. I love doing my own nails (acrylic) so I thought this might be an avenue for me to make some cash.

I've phoned around and it looks like the only suitable course is going to take 15 weeks (4 hours per week) and cost $1600 including the kit. This course covers the application of acrylic and gel nails plus nail science.

Is this course suitable for me to start my own business? Or will I need to do the complete Certificate II?
Is this venture likely to make money?
How many clients per week to make it profitable?
