In my experience Musical Chairs at that age always ends in tears. Treasure hunts are good. I always hide lollies and little toys then get them to put everyhting into a basket as they find it then divide it all up evenly.
Maybe do activities instead of games like decorating marie biscuits or making their own party bags out of a paper bag and sticking glittery bits on them. Messy but less tears.
Will the parents be there with the kids? Pass the parcel could work if the kids are sitting on mums laps and it doesn't take too long.
I'd go for craft stuff over the party games at that age.
yep, mothers will be there to help. i like the party bag idea. was thinking about doing a treasure hunt but a friend of mine is doing one at her little ones party.. wouldnt matter if we both did it hey. after all kids love to do that sorta stuff and it is about the kids.
I went to an art supplies place and got some precut 'crowns' (like you get at hungry jacks!), I bought lots of stickers, some glitter pens etc and let them go nuts. Then they all ran around with their crowns on. Coolness.
we used tp lay a great game when we were little kids a neighbour or uncle would wear a sheet or old shirt to which little bags of lollies were lightly stiched on and we had to chase them and grab a bag of lollies always fun
pinata with strings work good for this age...treasure hunts as mentioned
