Please tell me I can submit it anyway?

We're running on empty in this house, literally, and have just got ourselves a permanent adult houseguest (non-working and non-centrelink paid, oh joy - not to mention insta-mum to a 20 year old, ha.ha.HA.) putting up our grocery $$$ and bills.

I have had my tax just about done since the 01/- and DF has just found out he won't be getting his group certificate for probably another fortnight. That is if they send it to the right address (took them a month to send a simple letter last time, I wouldn't be surprised).

So... trivial as it may seem I need my blooming tax return and I can't do it without DF's group cert. Is there any way around this? I have to go to Wollongong in two weeks time for a management training course for work, which is all expenses paid but I have to afford to get there first. Was kind of hoping the speedy speedy tax return would help me out, but it would seem not...

    Any ideas?

I have a rough and large overestimate of his income, so it's not like I would get overpaid, I just don;t know what happens if and when I have to submit amendments or any of that jazz?

For FTB supplement payments to be paid, you'll have to wait until dh lodges his tax return. No way around it. FTB payments are based on combined income for the financial year, so Centrelink needs to know what the actual combined was.

for your own tax return, i BELIEVE (please dont quote me!) that you can estimate your partners income - when it's confirmed, you can then amend it. if you're doing it online yourself, i'm not sure how it works - i would suggest putting yourself in the position of ringing ATO for verification though.

my understanding is that it has to be on there for things like medicare surcharge and things
