I have no idea! I had what felt like air bubbles moving through my tummy, not really like what you have described, but it's probably different for everyone. Very shortly you will have no doubt it is your bub![]()
Hi all,
Yesterday for the first time I felt little twinges in my belly. The best way to describe them would be like a mini-stitch or a twinge of sensation. Or kinda like someone is sticking a pin in me, but from the inside.
Do you think that could be the baby? From what I've read I thought it would be more like butterflies or wind, so I wasn't expecting such a clear signal.
Or could it be something else completely? Pregnancy is funny like that!
Cheers,
Fiona

Hi,
I experienced sharp pains which I thought could be it but ended up being so unlike when bubs actually moved. I felt something like a twitch in my belly- have you ever had one of those funny eye twitches that you couldnt control but are fascinating? maybe just me lol...) The day she moved I knew it was the baby but it has never hurt.
Hope this helps![]()
To me, the feelings you have described sound more like the muscles and ligaments in your tummy stretching. I describe the bubs movements as being like when you get gas and it pops in your belly (everyone knows what that feels like).

It doesn't sound like movement to me. My early movement - once at 12 weeks (after the NT scan) and once at 16 weeks (after the amnio) felt like butterflies. At 20 weeks I started to get real movement & it felt more like something poking me from inside ever so slightly and increased as bubs grew.
yeah, i dont think that was bub. My kicks are more bubbling feelings, not painful, just feels like theres a fish swimming or flipping round in there![]()
Hi
As Nae Nae said it is probably the ligaments and muscles that support your uterus stretching.
I have found a couple of times recently when I've been walking that I've got what can only be described as a stitch in my left groin area. When I've read up on it it is your ligaments being stretched. Article also said that more likely to occur on left side as uterus tilts to the right. Can happen when walking, when you take exercise when you sneeze when you move unexpectedly ............. basically anytime .............. so nothing to worry about but not really what you'll feel when baby moves - that is more like bubbles![]()
