A couple of months ago DD 2 1/2 started at a new daycare centre in Tullamarine, and has loved it from day one. They have a kinder programme there on Tuesdays when she goes, there aren't many kids there yet (it's new) and she loves the carers (even gives them hugs goodbye).
So about a month ago we started sending ds 18 months there too. I didn't really want to yet, was worried he wasn't ready and would struggle because he's so needy of me at home (cries if I walk out of the house or even if he can't see me, and the rest of the time he's practically my tail). But I wasn't getting anything done at home or getting any time to myself, so I figured we'd give it a go and see how it panned out since they've been so good with B
But I have to say it has been going unbelievably well. He doesn't cry when I leave (too much else for him to do) or through the day (I call every day), they get him to take a nap and will pat him for however long it takes to get him settled (he was only sleeping for 45 mins there, so not ideal, but today he slept for 2 hours!)
Today he did his very first painting, and they even took pics so that I could see.
