    Don't Know what to think....

but I found a lump in my right BB and am a bit concerned as my Nan has had breast cancer and had to have a double mastectomy as a result of it and her mum had it as well!

I felt the left BB as well and there isn't one in that BB.

I've been stressing about it since I felt it last night!

Should I ring and make an appointment with my DR or wait until my appointment at the end of the month!

My family doctor told me she will not send me to have a mammy until I'm 32 as that is 10yrs before my nan found out she had it!

I'm now seeing a doctor in my local area and am still a bit uneasy around her!

Which do i go and see?

Go to the one that you are more comfortable with and if she does not help you then go to the other one. Great advice go now and try not to stress, i know its easy for me to say as i am not in your situation But i am sure everything will be fine. Thinking of you

I found a lump when my DD was about 6.5 months, about 2 weeks after getting married. I went to my GP who sent me for an ultrasound, which showed the lump. He offered to do a biopsy, or said i could have surgery to cut it out.
I saw a surgeon, then got scared and didnt return for another 12 months to see him ...naughty i know...
When i went back to see him, I was booked in for 2 weeks later on, had it removed and tested. He said he looked like it had the potential to be nasty, but it was all good, luckily.

I'm with *LovemyKids*, go to one Dr, then the other if you aren't happy with what they do. *hug* again, I know how scary it can feel when you initially find that lump.....hope all goes well

That's the thing, I'm scared I'm going to need it cut out then I"m going to have lop sided BBs!

I just don't know what to do! I had a full blood test done a few weeks back and it come back all clear! If something is going on in my body wouldn't my white blood cells have been up?

I am not too sure about the blood test thing but i still think that you should go to the doctor to put your mind at ease. Tackle things one day at a time!!!!!!! Dont be scared of something that might not even happen. They are only bb's and they can be fixed life is too short and precious to worry about what might happen. Goodluck

I know it's hard, but try not to overthink the what if's.... it may just be a fluid filled lump, that isnt nasty at all, it may even be linked to your cycle/hormones.

your white blood cells wont always be elevated. they only elevate for infection. and they can even elevate or drop adn still eb in normal range so its relative to your last test.

do you ahev a well womens clinic? we run one at my surgery where if a lump or something is found you are sent for ultrasound.
and no need to see a dr they just write the referal for us nurses who do it.

i would be seeing your DR asap just to put your mind at rest.

I rang my mum and asked what she thought and she said to go to the doctors asap as it is in the family history plus my great nan died for it!

I have an appointment at 1:45pm tomorrow with the doctor I was seeing first of in this area! it is really hard to find a female doctor you are comfortable with!

    hi sugardust

I found a lump (about 1-2cm long) in my BB when i was 24 and i was sent for an ultrasound. it was very definate and easy to feel

It turned out to be a hormonal lump and they changed my pill around and it dissapeared (weird huh!)..

so it could be something like that?

and I that this is nothing serious. Please try to concentrate on the positives - it could just be a hormonal thing as a PP mentioned (easier said then done I know) we are all here for you and thinking of you

Just got back from the doctors!

She is sending me for an ultrasound of both BBs and a mammy of the right BB just as a percaution.
She could feel the lump when I was sitting but when I was laying down she couldn't feel it she could also feel a smaller lump in the same area!

So I have an appointment first thing tuesday morning for the mammy and ultrasound then will go back to my doctor on thursday for the results!
