My daughter is now 7 and half months and still fully breastfed. My period returned when she was around 5 months but was only a couple of days (before my pregnancies my AF was usually 5 days). I then got AF again on CD35 and this was a bit more like a normal period. Sooooo this time it got to CD30 and I thought I was getting AF as I had some pains in my ovaries etc but instead I think I ovulated...for about a week. It is now CD40 something and I am still waiting for AF. I even took a preg test yesterday but it was negative. Does anyone know how long this should go on for? I have never taken the pill and practise natural family parenting - so I really need to get a handle on my cycle.
Hun I think it takes quite a few cycles once AF returns to fall into a "normal" pattern again.
As frustrating as it is, I think the only thing you can do is wait.
Yep, like GG said... it's a matter of waiting. Our bodies can take quite a while after having a baby to regulate again.... and even then our cycle may not be the same as it once was.
I'm still waiting for my AF as DD is fully BF also but I'm hoping it doesnt' come back until she's 12mths!!!!
I got to CD 44 with my first AF post partum . Next one was 28 days...didnt wait for next one, as we fell pregnant...but it really is hit and miss ATM....it will take a while for the bod to get back into the swing of things....
