PPP to PPS - Does anyone know...

My mum receives PP partnered... if she separates from her husband, can she just switch to PP single, or does she have to move on to Newstart?
Dependent is 8 in August, but she has been receiving PP since before July 2006 (since he was 3) which I believe makes her continue to be eligible until he is 16.

she only remains eligible for her current payment until dependent turns 8 - for new customers it;s six. cant change ppp to pps wil be ppp to newstart

Hi - can I tag another questions about the parenting payment (single) onto this ?

The thing about it cutting out when the youngest child turns 8 - is that still the same if you're receiving a carers allowence for the child ? Is there any difference if the child has a special need?
