do you mean their fitteds? Hang on I'll go and get one to check...
Yep the tag goes to the back. I found them fiddly for a bit too. But they do fit quite well when you get the hang of them. That stupid snap in booster is what I hate. Not really sure how to fold it.
The wings of the nappy go on the inside under the front....does that make sense?

once you get the hang of putting it on you will find it's one of your most used. They are so so good for nights, and so soft and squshy. I loved the CTBD

The folded booster is a little weird isnt it!!!
Mel you use them for nights??!! WOW! Do you use any extra boosting?
I love the fit of these on DS, but when I remove them his skin has the imprints of the extra snaps on the wings...its looks uncomfortable but it doesnt seem to bother him.
(Sorry to thread hijack but your post reminded me about this)

You aren't the only one who found it difficult, I think DD1 wore hers backwards the first few times hahahaha. We tried it as a night nappy once and got the most horrendous nappy rash, perhaps the pee was on her for too long? Now they are just our day nappies. They didn't leak overnight though...

for the first few months of using them until Ash was about 5 months I didn't boost no, then I put a booster in, then they got too short in the rise
Ashton isn't a heavy wetter, we can still use an unboosted BBB with woolies most of the time for night.
