Hmmm... I don't know how to use my new desktop well enough to stream it online... have frantically been turning my dial on my kitchen radio... no luck. Is she still on?

ETA: found it!!!! it's question time

A hairdryer to remove sticky tape marks???

    Orange juice to remove headlice???

oooh I like her recipe for leather couch cleaning: lemon oil, lavendar oil and beeswax melted in the microwave... cloth stored in a zip lock bag in the freezer. I think I got that right? (kids noisy) didn't catch quantities.

Yep, rotten milk good for ink stains! However, I have rotten milk on the carpet in DD room, what to do?
It could have been split milk or yoghurt (stupid dp let her eat it in her room the tool). I was thinking cold water and soap but I'm not sure now....
I've got Spotless but is more about stains - the SMELL is gross, I thought it was my runners when I was reading her a story the other night, put bicarb in em and everything - YUKKO!

Lulu: Tip for keeping joggers smelling fresh: store them upside down over a central heating duct (if you have them)... I have discovered this myself. Bought a brand new pair a few weeks ago... worn them a lot but kept them stored over the duct in the laundry. They still smell almost as clean as the day i bought them. Haven't had to wash yet. I figure the heat is killing all the bacteria that would have made them smell. I am soooo fussy about joggers smelling clean. I'm thinking of making sure my DD does it too when I buy her a new pair in a few weeks.

Sorry no tip for the spilt milk.... I'd vax (shampoo) it... but I figure you have a standard vacuum?

ETA: I'm still thinking about your spilt milk what about using some dissolved Napisan? That stuff would be specifically designed to deal with proteins like those in milk... they might contain some enzyme...

Ive covered it with bicarb for now, will vac it up tomorrow and bash it up with a bit of naispan, then vinegar methinks.
No vax here - I hate stinky carpets and only the bedrooms are done (in a particularly gross shade of government green).

Im SO annoyed about it, and btw I NEVER have stinky shoes so I'm glad it wasn't moi.

I've been pondering on why haven't carpet manufacturers invented a better backing for carpet. It seems a lot of stain problems are from the jute backing.

I am so in love with Shannon Lush. She's my hero. I was definately born in the wrong generation. I should have been a 1950's housewife. Nifty household tips make my day. (yes, sadly, I'm serious).

So bummed I missed her on 3aw!
