hi, just wanted to find out if there was anyone that has a child with a heart condition,
my son has hypoplastic left heart (hlhs) and we are from nsw if there is anyone that would like to talk.

Hi Nev my son was diagnosed with HLHS inutero at my 19 week scan. However another scan at 30 weeks showed his heart had grown to within the normal range.

When he was born, he had several other life-threatening heart problems, and underwent two lots of surgery before he was 3 months old. He's now 6, and I take him to Brisbane for annual cardio checks where they do a thorough examination to determine if the repairs they did on his aorta and to the holes in his heart are still holding.

How's your son doing? It can be very stressful when your baby is ill.

hes doing really well we are looking at being discharged from the rch in melbourne and hopefully can return to nsw in about 3 weeks
