    Question Virtual Bookclub?

I'm wondering whether anyone wants to join me in creating a BB Virtual Bookclub? I am part of an IRL bookclub and it works like this:

Each month someone in the group chooses a book to read. We then set a date to meet and discuss the book, and give it a rating. The 'host' does a bit of background research about the book and the author and provides it to the group.

We don't have any rules about the books that are chosen, except that it's fiction. So far we've read Eat Pray Love and The Lovely Bones.

Is anyone interested in creating a BB bookclub? Let me know what you think. I worked in a bookstore for many years, and I'm craving a bit of literary conversation.

It didn't get lost in the upgrade it got unstickied because of lack of interest.
The last book we read was 19 Minutes. About 4 people contributed to the discussion.
The way we used to do it was select a book by the 15th of the month and post a review and maybe some bookclub questions to ponder on and then on the 1st of the month we would open up a thread for discussion.

If you go to the last pages of the thread list for this forum you'll find the discussions so you'll have some idea of how they worked.

I'd be keen too - last time we started again, I got really busy with a new business & I didn't get time to read the book

Maybe we could start with a book that is fairly easy to get & something popular (and not too big). The good thing about a popular/recent book is that if some people haven't got time to read at this time of year, chances are they may have read it recently & can still contribute to the discussion? Don't know, just thinking aloud here

Maybe wait to hear from the mods if they want to let us try again?

I'd be keen to get involved, although I don't think DH would be too impressed . He always dreads me starting a new book, because I have trouble putting them down.

Oooh, I loved The Lovely Bones!

Really keen to see how they did the movie - Stanley Tucci is a good choice for cast IMO
