    Do you warm your plates?

I warm up my plates before serving dinner and it got me wondering if anyone else does the same? I usually zap them in the microwave for a minute or if I've cooked dinner with the oven I pop them in there for a minute or two before I'm ready to serve. I love eating my meals off a warm plate.

Sometimes I do! 40 seconds in the microwave does it. Particularly if it's something that goes cold quickly, and if we're eating with the kids (not often, they're young so we usually eat in peace once they're in bed) then it's great, our food doesn't go cold so quickly.

Only for a roast hehe. They sit in a sink of hot hot water until I dry them when it's time to dish up

yes I do oven on low, plates in there - my fave dinner plates won't fit in the microwave

unless it is for a salad!

Depends on what we're having. Things like roast, any sort of meat and veg, then definitely yes! And pasta too. But I don't do it if any sort of salad will be going on the plate. And (like last night) when we have risotto, it's already so hot that the cool plate helps to make it edible sooner .

You can see that I put waaaay too much thought into this
