    Monash IVF Clayton

Just a quick one, is anyone here going through Monash in Clayton? I have my nurse appointment next week, my first, and i was wondering what to expect with the nasal spray.

I was taking the pill three weeks ago but i got really sick which i thought was from the pill, in the end i was sick all up on and off 3 weeks which the doctors think I have IBS, great something else to control. So anyway i was wondering if anyone else has just started straight on the nasal spray?

Im kinda nervous and excitied all at the same time and emotional probably cause I am finally going through with this.

Anyway take care everyone and have a nice weekend. :-)

    Hi Tam,

I'm currently doing my first cycle (IUI-D+OI) at Clayton, I started on Friday.

Sorry to hear you've been so crook! Which nurse are you seeing? I saw Kate, who is simply lovely.

Can't help you with the nasal spray, I'm doing a low dose of puregon, then a Pregnyl shot to induce ovulation - that should be later this week depending on my response. Currently crossing fingers that I don't over-stimulate!

    Wishing you all the best!

    Hi there,

My nurse is Louise and I see her on Wednesday morning after having a blood test to see if i have ovulated then I start the nasal spray. I am doing ICSCI.

Hope all goes well for you. :-)

    Hi Tam,

I am at Monash Clayton as well, Sally is my nurse and is great.

I have done a long stim cycle, anatagonist and now a short stim cycle which starts on the nasal spray on Day 2 of the cycle. The nasal spray is not very nice..easy to take, but the side effects that I get are mood swings, really bad headaches, bloated, sore, skin break outs and would you believe it, hemeriods! On the plus side, as soon as I start the Gonal-F, the side effects lessen. Sounds pleasent doesn't it!

Good luck with your cycle, hope it all goes well and you do not get too many side effects.

    Hi Ladies

Louise is fabulous just love her, I think she is used to me ringing her quite a bit lately lol I do ask a lot of questions. I started my nasal spray two weeks ago but now have to do double doses in the morning and afternoon because I hadn?t down regulated yet. This Sunday I got my period which I thought wasn?t normal so of course got a bit upset and didn?t take my spray last night or this morning.

Apparently getting your period is normal but I didn?t know hence the reason I stopped the spray. Louise did tell me this is normal and to continue the spray so I am a little at ease now I just hope it doesn?t wreck everything, luckily for me I can quickly go home and spray and come back to work its marvellous working close to home and having such a great bunch of bosses :-)

My side effects have been more breakouts and very moody which is not like me, i have warned people though just incase one day at work i freak out with all my work and crack it big time hehehehe maybe I should.

This Thursday I have my second blood test to see if I have down regulated, if so that means I can start the injections on Sunday....not looking forward to that I think I will be getting a numbing agent when I start those needles :-(.

How is everyone going with their medications and treatment at the momment?

P.S yes my nickname is timtam reversed.

    Hope you are all well.
