    Freezing cakes???

    Can i wrap it in heaps of cling wrap until thursday in the freezer or should i really put in in an airtight container????? I'm having trouble finding a container big enough....

    Clingwrap will be fine for freezing a cake.

    absolutly fine! I do this all the time when I am making bday cakes or things like that. enjoy!!

    Or foil is good too. I personally find foil better for cakes than clingwrap as it gives a bit of stability.

    Or depending on cake size, I use the largest freezer bags and knot the end.

    My MIL uses alfoil - every few weeks she'll do a huge cookup, and make heaps of different cakes, and freeze them so she's never caught out when people drop in.

    ......How am I supposed to compete with that?!

    I usually do 2 layers of cling wrap then one of foil and then i use permanent marker to write the date and type of food on the foil when i freeze things

    I've been preparing cakes for DD's 1st b'day party this comin weekend. All the cakes i had i didn't have a container big enough LOL
