LOL yep my standard piece of shower cleaning equipment is an old green scourer. I have learnt not to use it on clear perspex though as it scratches it... but on tiles it works a treat... especially with some Gumption creme cleanser.
I just went to clean the shower (it was quite grotty) and couldn't find the sponge I normally use, so I used the first thing I could find - my exfoliating glove lol. OMG!! It worked a treat! I didn't have to scrub, it got all the calcium build up off so easily! I could get into all the little nooks and crannies with my finger and scrape stuff off with my nail through the glove....My shower has never looked so clean!![]()

Thank you for the tip. I'll have to try it out.
Cleaning the shower is my least fav cleaning chore in the house.
wow tinkerbell.. who wudda thought...
My shower cleaner is usually a blue scourer lol. I couldn't find it anywhere.....must be in a safe place.
good idea, I also found out from a friend on the weekend that both her & DH use a shower gel & do not have soap in the shower. The builder who recently built their house said it leaves them easier to clean & doesn't have to be cleaned as often.
We do the same as Turkish, recycle out old kitchen scourer, and a toothbrush for the grout and corners. If I had an exfoliating glove I'd try it though, sounds nice and easy!
yep im a sponge/scourer recycler lol my bathroom/laundry never see's a NEW scourer! lol
i like your idea tinkerbell!
lol shower cleaning is DHs only realy job....he'd look a treat in a pair of exfoliating gloves....
I swear by using vinegar and bi carb soda. Everyone talks about it, so I thought I would use it. After someone has had a shower and the glass is wet and 'hot' wipe bi carb all over it, I use one of those green scourer sponges and spray vinegar on it, then scrub it (easy scrub, little effort needed) leave it to sit for 5mins, then rinse off with hot water. Our glass looks brand new, so easy, no stinky fumes, and so cheap!
Exfoliating glove would be handy, cause the only time I can actually get a spare moment to clean the shower is when I am actually in it HAVING a shower. The joys of being a mum eh
has anyone got a good tip for what chemical or salution you use to clean the bathroom?
i used to use the heavy duty "easy off bam" cleansers and and stuff like, but as soon as i feel pregnant, i stopped and starting using good old ajax creme it works well but you need to really work on it and then if you dont clean it off properly is leaves a white residue.
I have a bath with the shower in it and no glass.
I seriously HATE cleaning the shower, and it gets harder every week as i get bigger and biggerLOL
I use Shower Power and love it.
