    Stye?

I think I'm getting a stye, but I'm not sure?
The line of my eyelashes on my top lid is swollen & sore, but its not just a little lump. Its the whole lengthof my eye lid.
I've got headaches behind that eye too.
Is that normal? Or does it sound more like an infection of some sort??

Sounds like a sty to me....I find rubbing my clean wedding ring over the area helps....

Yeah I was doing that all day yesterday. The same as I always do & I've never had one this bad.

Yeah, I'm not sure if it actually works, but apparently rubbing gold on them helps. Its always stopped them for me before they actually started before. As soon as it feels tender, I use my ring & the next day or so its gone.

I haven't had one myself but my ds has had a heap! One got so big we had to see a specialist who was looking at lancing it if it got any bigger!

Anyway, he said the only real thing you can do is hot water and a flannell. Lots! We do this to ds about 6+ times a day when we see the little red bump starting to hold it back. About 5mins at a time for about 30 blocks. Does that make sense?

oohhh painful, I use to get them all the time as a teenager.
Warm salty water and gold rings work sometimes mine always seemed resilient to those types of treatments. I am not sure if you can still get it but I used a product called "golden eye ointment" it comes in a little tube I use to pop that on and it always cleared them up for me.

I think they are caused by blocked ducks, depending on how close to the surface they are sometimes using the ring method you can get the guff out - it doesn't always work and its pretty painful but its a bit like getting a huge zit.

    best of luck

Yep forget the wedding ring - it just spreads the germs around. You can either bathe it with warm salty water (swab with cotton wool ball). However if your actual eye starts feeling sore or you start getting pussy/junkyness it's time to go to the drs.

Rubbing my gold rings usually helps me, if not Golden Eye Ointment is what my parents used to buy me!

Try a soaked teabag, and just lay down with it as a compress. I get them when I'm tired and rundown and it's always worked for me
