29 weeks with really sore stomach muscles

    Hi everyone,

As the title of my thread suggests, I am 29 weeks and have woken up this morning with really sore stomach muscles (discomfort all over so I don't think its separation). While I still have a way to go, I already look like I have a basketball up my jumper thanks to my short stature and family genes. Perhaps its just lots of baby growing/stretching or perhaps I'm doing too much around the house and chasing DD1?!?!

This is my second pregnancy and I didn't have pain like this the first time round so I'm just wondering if this is normal? At what point do I get concerned?

Thanks for listening. Any info/help you can give me would be really appreciated!

I had something very similar at about the same time. I had to leave work not long after arriving there and head straight home to bed - I was in agony. I slept for 3 hours which is very unlike me and woke up feeling SO much better. I'd had a funeral the day before which was emotionally draining and the long day was a real strain on my body. I think that coupled with a big growth spurt by bubs caused the pain.

Take it very easy and lie down for a while if you can. It was the only way I got relief. If the pain doesn't subside after a decent break, call the hospital.

yeah, with my first i didn't get anything like that but with my second and this current pregnancy i had the same problem and was/have been practically bedridden, the doc seems to think its because i didn't get my muscle tone back and am a lot weaker in the stomach and back area!
just take it easy and if it gets worse make an appointment to make sure all is ok!
i hope your feeling better soon! there's nothing worse then being in so much pain and having a toddler to run around after!
