I have been following this forum for a little while and finally decided that it's time to join.
I was diagnosed with PCOS about 7 years ago. At the time, the endocrinologist put me on Dianne and Aldactone (for the hair). I gave up on the Aldactone after a year because it made me pee too much.
My symptoms at the time were irregular periods, excess hair, acne, a hormone imbalance and ovarian cysts (obviously). I have never had it checked since.
Now I am married, and my husband and I want to start a family. 5 months ago, I stopped taking the pill - which resulted in all the yucky dark hair rearing it's ugly head! Since then I have got my period every month, but my cycle is ranging from 30-35 days. In the last 3 months I have been using 'pee on a stick' ovulation tests. I ovulated the first month, not the 2nd, and ovulated again last month.
Last month was the first time we actively tried to get pregnant, and didn't succeed.
I went to see a gyno last week, he gave me a list of blood tests to have done (I HATE needles), since I havent had the PCOS checked since it was first diagnosed.
I am hoping that the fact that I have ovulated, and that I am of a healthy weight increases my chances of conceiving naturally.
Fingers crossed for everyone!

wanted to wish you luck with your BT results and hope that your TTC journey is nice and short! if you feel up for it come and join us in the TTC buddies thread (1-6 months). nice bunch of girls!
i have endo and it can also cause issues with TTC but was blessed with falling pg with DD naturally, so it can be done!
Good luck, that is a great sign you are at least getting your period. I get mine twice a year if I am lucky. I have fallen pregnant naturally (complete shock as I had visions of going down the IVF track) and I am now 16wks.
I had also been taking Vitex, and had only been on it for maybe 3months and found out i was pregnant. Wether or not that helped I don't know (many people don't believe in herbal products) but considering we had been TTC for 12+months with no luck and then after 3months using Vitex got those 2 lines.
I just wanted to give an update on this, because I know when I am searching on the internet for info, I always want to know what ended up happening.
Well, after 4 months of trying on our own and working out that I was only ovulating every 2nd month (on average), the doc put me on clomid 50mg.
The first month, I ovulated, but we didn't time DTD very well.
The second month, I ovulated, we timed DTD and I also used pre-seed. Well, that worked!
I am now pregnant... it's very early days, but just the fact that my egg was there for his sperm to meet, and my body is able to be pregnant is exciting for me!
